Agile expert joins Velocity
Velocity Partners would like to announce the addition of Bob Galen to the company’s leadership team as their Principal Agile Evangelist.
As a well-known thought leader in the Lean/Agile community and a prior customer of Velocity Partners while at iContact, Bob brings the perfect combination of knowledge, skills and experience to the Velocity team to lead and share our distributed agile expertise to our clients, prospects and the industry at large.
Adding Bob to the Velocity team represents a milestone for the company, as it will help to continue positioning us as a leader in the use of agile methodologies, which is a core feature of Velocity’s nearshore operation model. These new capabilities will bring Velocity to an even higher level in terms of our ability to deliver high performing distributed agile development teams to our clients.

• Representing Velocity at Agile conferences and groups around the world (current even calendar)
• Delivering best practices workshops to our clients
• Coaching and training both to clients and internally
About Bob Galen
Bob Galen is an Agile Methodologist, Practitioner & Coach based in Cary, NC. In this role he helps guide companies and teams in their pragmatic adoption and organizational shift towards Scrum and other Agile methods and practices. He is currently President & Principal Consultant at RGCG, LLC. Worked for Bayer, Bowe–Bell & Howell Mail Processing, ChannelAdvisor, EMC, iContact, Lucent, Teradata, Thomson-Reuters, and Unisys.
Since 2001, RGCG has provided consulting and training services targeted toward the softer side of software project challenges and improving team skills to deliver great products. This focus synergizes incredibly well with the Agile Methodologies and their practices. Areas of particular strength include: Agile development methods – adoption strategies & practices, Requirement analysis and management, Software project management, Software quality, testing and metrics, Software development team leadership Bob regularly speaks at international conferences and professional groups on topics related to software development, project management, software testing and team leadership. He is a Certified Scrum Coach (CSC), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), and an active member of the Agile & Scrum Alliances.
