New development center slated to open in Colombia in April; plans to bring 100 new jobs by 2014

BELLEVUE, Wash. (March 19, 2013) – Velocity Partners, an innovative nearshore software development company, announces plans to expand into a third Latin American country. Adding to its existing centers in Argentina and Uruguay—Velocity Partners will open a new development center in Colombia in April.

Velocity Partners is expanding into the Colombian city of Medellín, a city that supports foreign investment and provides a sizeable pool of educated, talented software developers. Velocity Partners plans to hire 40 new employees by the end of 2013, and reach 100 employees in 2014.

BOTHELL, Wash. – February 4, 2013 – Velocity Partners, an experienced, nearshore software development company that delivers results through a distributed, Agile model, announces the appointment of Yvonne Lillebo to the role of Senior Partner, Finance. In this position, Lillebo will be responsible for supporting all U.S. and South American financial activities, as well as the management of the company’s U.S. banking and legal activities.

For 18 months prior to be named senior partner, Lillebo supported Velocity Partners in a contract role. Prior to joining Velocity Partners, Lillebo was a chief financial officer and controller at several national private- and publicly-owned corporations, including startups, rapid growth and technology businesses.

At Velocity Partners, Lillebo will be primarily responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all of the financial-related activities for the company’s U.S and South American offices. In addition, Lillebo will also be managing company processes and internal controls and developing best practices for all financial, banking and legal activities.

Lillebo will be based in the company’s headquarters in Bothell, Wash., with frequent travel to the company’s offices in Latin America.

BELLEVUE, Wash. – December 3, 2012 – Velocity Partners, an experienced, nearshore software development company that delivers results through a distributed, Agile model, has recently expanded its presence in Buenos Aires, Argentina with a larger, more expansive software delivery center. Velocity Partners operates throughout Latin America and this expansion in Buenos Aires will allow for a larger presence in Argentina and greater economic growth throughout the region.

Throughout 2011 and 2012, Velocity Partners has invested heavily in its nearshore offices, with new buildings, training and technology. This commitment to the development of these offices has led to steady revenue growth and continued expansion throughout Latin America.

The Buenos Aires expansion increased the center’s square footage by 1,410 square feet, creating a total operating space of 4,694 square feet. The construction included a kitchen remodel and the addition of 38 work spaces. The center now fills an entire floor of the San Martin building in downtown area of Buenos Aires. Velocity Partners reported a 96 percent increase in nearshore revenue over the last year.

Company nearly doubles profits in the past year; growth on track to continue into 2013

BELLEVUE, Wash. (Oct. 9, 2012) – Velocity Partners, an experienced, nearshore software development company that delivers results through a distributed, Agile model, is experiencing record revenue growth stemming from the company’s nearshore offices in Latin America. The company is reporting a 96 percent increase in nearshore revenue over the last year and, with the 2012 addition of a delivery center in Montevideo, Uruguay and a proposed Colombia center, growth is not expected to slow.

In addition to revenue, Velocity has seen a 78 percent increase in staff since December 31, 2011. Construction of the new delivery center in Montevideo completed in September of 2012, and company leadership is exploring the possibilities of a Colombia center that could open as early as 2013.
