Velocity Partners announces plans to open development center in Colombia

Company’s fifth Latin American development center slated to open in early 2013

BELLEVUE, Wash. (July 18, 2012) – Velocity Partners, an experienced, nearshore software development company that delivers results through a distributed, Agile model, announces plans to open a fifth Latin America development center in Colombia early next year. The new center, complete with a state-of-the-art technology, as well as enhanced meeting, teambuilding and common areas, will help accommodate Velocity Partners’ continued fast-paced growth.  Velocity Partners currently operates development centers in Buenos Aires, Rosario and Paraná, Argentina and Montevideo Uruguay.

“Latin America’s popularity as a nearshore outsourcing destination is definitely on the rise, thanks to its close proximity to the U.S., similar culture and business acumen.  As a company that has long-recognized these strengths and operated in the region since 2004, it is exciting to see this momentum and be on the forefront of delivering results for customers through a distributed Agile model,” said Peter Stroeve, managing partner, Velocity Partners.  “Colombia leads Latin America in world rankings for ease of doing business, and possesses a large pool of technology talent to draw upon, making it an ideal location for a fifth development center.”

Velocity Partners’ leaders will convene to Columbia in September for a Senior Management Discovery Session to further discuss the development center’s progress and a detailed course of action.
