Velocity Maintains its Focus on Training and Knowledge Sharing
With continuing education a priority at Velocity, our most recent training sessions covered Linux and Bash, NoSQL, Unit Testing, Android and Responsive Design.
At Velocity Partners, we believe that training and continuous improvement are of critical importance and are among the factors driving our sustained growth. With this in mind, we are always looking for ways to introduce new knowledge and encourage the sharing of information and expertise between our team members.
Over the last month, our trainers in Medellín, Colombia, offered two sessions focused on sharing knowledge related to Linux and Bash. Velocity team members in the Medellín office also took part in a “Breakfast & Learn” session that covered NoSQL: Cassandra.
Meanwhile, at the Montevideo offices in Uruguay, our teams participated in a three-day course on Unit Testing, and employees in Rosario, Argentina, took advantage of training offered on Android for beginners – a course we hope to expand to the rest of our offices. Lastly, Velocity team members reported back that a course offered in Paraná, Argentina, on Responsive Design was a fantastic learning opportunity for those who were less experienced with front-end programming.
