Velocity Focuses on Training, Knowledge Sharing
March highlights include meetings, training sessions and partner visits.
The last few weeks at Velocity Partners have been all about sharing knowledge. On March 19, Principal Agile Evangelist Bob Galen presented “The Three Pillars of Agile Quality & Testing,� a webinar focused on establishing a balanced strategic plan for effective quality and testing.
Galen also traveled to our offices in Montevideo, Uruguay, and Buenos Aires and Rosario, Argentina, where he led classes on general Agile and scrum, Agile leadership and Agile testing and reviewed Velocity’s Agile practices with the leadership teams.
“The classes were well attended, our teams were really energized and engaged, and everyone kept me on my toes. It was a great experience, and I want to thank everyone I met,� Galen said.
Meanwhile, Velocity’s Principal QA Araceli D’Apolito visited our new office in Rosario, Argentina, for a SQA meeting to welcome new QA members to the group and share project updates.
We also offered a number of training sessions designed to strengthen employees’ knowledge of different methodologies and technologies. Topics included processing in parallel with NodeJS, asynchronous concept and callback importance, single processor vs. multiple processors and simple network clustering (define your own protocol) with Socket.IO.
