Agile Distributed Teams — Pointers

This is the first post in this topic area, but expect many more over time.

Due to the very nature of Velocity Partners and our client relationships, we engage in nearshore distributed teams. Well the harsh reality is that co-located agile teams are much easier to orchestrate than distributed agile teams. That being said, we have LOTS of experience in this space and do it incredibly well. But, it’s still challenging for us and our clients.

To that end, I’d like to occasionally share links to blog posts, articles, whitepapers, podcasts, video’s, etc. that discuss the dynamics of Agile for Distributed Teams. My hope is that these will help us and our clients raise the bar on our overall performance.

I hope you enjoy them!

First Up

Alexey Krasnoriadtsev talks about distributed teams in the AgileConnections newsletter. You can read it here:

Agile Record is a quarterly e-magazine out of Germany. It’s been published for about four years. Issue #16 contains an article on distributed agile. The title is Distributed Agile – Pointless or Possible?  by Julie Calboutin & Helmut Holst. It’s well worth a read.

I also recommend you subscribe to the Agile Record, but I’m a bit biased. I’m a regular contributor. You can freely download issues .

Hope these help broaden and improve your distributed agility. Stay agile my friends,

Bob.
