Velocity Partners was established in March of 2004... |
...on the premise that clients can receive substantial benefits by seeding development
teams with Velocity Partners Agile technologists, who are skilled in leading software
development processes and practices. Our project teams and individual consultants
provide clients the flexibility to fully or partially outsource and/or co-develop
critical software projects.
Velocity Partners seeks to employ some of the brightest and most innovative minds
in the software development industry. We invest heavily in the ongoing education
of each and every employee. Each of our consultants receive ongoing monthly training
from the Velocity Partners’ Mentoring Council on a variety of topics including Agile, Scrum,
Design Patterns, Test Driven Development, Refactoring, and many other leading practices
and processes.
Velocity Partners has successfully worked with a number of world-leading clients
successfully delivering projects on-time, at cost, and to the customer requirements
while maintaining the highest level of quality code in the industry. We have a proven
track record delivering turn key applications, integrated Agile teams, and onsite
consulting. Our development and training center is located in one of the world’s
leading technology areas: Bellevue, Washington.

Peter Stroeve
President
Peter has been in the technology industry since 1985. Starting out
as a software developer, he eventually moved into more of a consulting role in 1989.
In 1994, Peter co-founded ProDX, a large Pacific NW Consulting firm which grew to
over 400 employees. As CEO, he managed the long-term strategy and daily operations
of the business and had the honor of leading this company to being the #1 Best Company
to Work for in Oregon in 2001. Peter was also named Oregon’s CEO of the Month in
July of 2003. He started Velocity Partners in early 2004 and currently lives in
Bellevue with his wife and two children. |

Dave Moynihan
Director
Dave has over 18 years of experience in the IT and Software industry. Prior to joining
Velocity Partners in 2004, Dave had enjoyed a diverse career focused on program
management, business development, and strategy roles with world leading companies:
Amazon.net, Philips, and Safeco Insurance. As a Director of Consulting, his responsibilities
include developing new business, managing ongoing client relationships, and providing
oversight for Velocity Partners Projects. He is actively engaged in the technology
industry in a variety of consulting roles and has directed major Agile projects.
He has a Bachelor degree in Business and currently lives in Bellevue with his family. |

Brian S. Estep
Director
For more than 10 years, Brian has earned a reputation for providing
skilled and practical guidance as a technology consultant, software architect and
developer, and project manager. Prior to becoming a director with Velocity Partners,
Brian was a manager, subject matter expert, and senior software developer utilizing
emerging technologies to specialize in meeting the business needs of each client.
Brian previously worked with several prominent Louisiana consulting firms as a software
architect and developer.
His responsibilities included managing client expectations and successful delivery
of software solutions. Brian holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from
Southeastern Louisiana Technical University.
Brian is also member of the school’s Alpha Beta Kappa honors society. |

Steve MacMillan
Director
Steve carries over 20 years experience in Technology since entering the
field in 1986. He joined Velocity Partners in 2007 to open the
Portland office after 10 years in Client Management and Business Development for Portland-based ProDX, an technology consulting firm.
Prior to his sales/management career, Steve spent 12 years in software development and project management at Nike, EDS, and the Federal Reserve Bank. Steve has worked with a vast array of clients throughout his career, helping them solve technical and functional issues across most commercial platforms/databases, packaged applications, and software development tools. Born and raised in Portland, he attended Oregon State University obtaining a Bachelor's in Business Administration

Phillip Cave, CSM, CSP
Director of Project Services
Phillip has been providing technology solutions and guidance for over 18 years. His experience ranges from software development to project management to managing teams with such companies as EDS, Safeco, Verizon Wireless, Premera and a couple of leadership roles with two small software product companies. The mix of experience in IT shops as well as software product companies has positioned Phillip to apply his knowledge to help our customers apply good practices in the delivery of technology services. Phillip has a passion for applying Lean principles to Agile practices and as such leads Velocity Partners Project Services. His primary role is to provide project execution oversight with our customers utilizing our near-shore teams as well as providing Agile Project and Portfolio Management coaching to our customers and business partners. Phillip holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Washington and is a practicing CSM and CSP.

Shannon Hentschell
Human Resources Manager
Shannon has worked in the high-tech industry since 1991 with a focus on human resources and internal operations. Prior to joining Velocity Partners in January 2006 she has worked for SolutionsIQ, Shea Homes (Trilogy) and ADC Telecommunications. As the Manager of Human Resources, Shannon is responsible for all human resource functions including payroll, benefits, training, immigration, employee relations, as well as overseeing the back-office operations and general office management.
Shannon’s main focus is to ensure that Velocity Partners is an excellent place to work by promoting positive employee relations, maintaining a competitive benefits package and developing strong internal processes. Shannon has earned her PHR certification and is currently working in her CPP certification. She is a member of the Lake Washington Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (LWHRA/SHRM) and the Rainer Chapter of the American Payroll Association (APA). She has lived in the Seattle area for the last 19 years and currently resides in Kirkland with her family.

Michael Prime
Finance Manager
Michael has over 15 years experience in the Financial arena ranging from Staff Accountant up to Assistant Controller. Prior to joining Velocity Partners in the Summer of 2007, Michael had the opportunity work with well known companies such as US Bank, COMgroup Inc., Pure Networks and C.B. Richard Ellis. As the Finance Manager for Velocity Partners, Michael is single-handedly responsible for the company’s A/P, A/R, collections, expenses, budgeting, forecasting and all other finance functions that enables Velocity Partners to run smoothly. Michael recently earned his Bachelor’s of Business and Finance from the University of Phoenix and resides in Shoreline with miniature schnauzer, Freddie.
